| Into the final month so temperature's a little lower and the greens a little softer although quite fast. The wind was capricious and the grass had been cut round the greens for a change so balls went each and every way. The Blue Crane won with 38 points from the Oxpecker. The Groot Tinktinkie (also nice to print that!) was third with the Hammerkop fourth. Crisps were kindly provided by the Buff-spotted Flufftail, the Crimson-breasted Shrike, the Serinus Symonsi and serial handicap manipulator, the zebra trousered Glossy Ibis. It was good to see the Road Stroller back and disappointing to note that the Speckled Mousebird did not enter. |
